Use TurboCAD drafting software for an RC plane plan

TurboCAD drafting software provides an intuitive and powerful design program

TurboCAD and RC Plane Plans

From humble beginnings in the mid-1980s, TurboCAD drafting software has rapidly grown to become one of the most popular and easy to use CAD (computer aided design) software products available anywhere. TurboCAD is an extremely affordable way for anyone to learn a drafting software program. For the model airplane enthusiast, TurboCAD drafting software can quickly produce attractive model plane plans with as much detail as you desire.

CAD Software

CAD drafting software is frequently misunderstood. The average computer user has word processing and spreadsheet software, but usually shies away from the perceived complexity of drafting software. Typical excuses range from the CAD drafting software being complex or too expensive, to a feeling that “I cannot draw.” Good software should go beyond the simple automation of a task, and provide an opportunity for expanded capabilities. For example, spreadsheets permit someone not trained in accounting to do their own financial record keeping. TurboCAD drafting software provides a set of tools and ease of use that allows anyone to create drawings for a wide variety of purposes, from a beautiful RC model plane plans to a floor plan showing furniture position and fit in a new house.

TurboCAD drafting software is an exceptionally versatile tool. People who never dreamed of buying a drafting table can use CAD for everything from real estate plans to arts and crafts. A perfect example of this is model airplane design. TurboCAD drafting software permits modeling actions that cannot be done with a hand drawn plan. The CAD RC airplane plans Electro Aviator was e-mailed to a laser cutting company that prepared perfectly cut wood parts of the model. TurboCAD design software provides a visual design tool that is an affordable and practical addition to your software tool kit.

Purchase a training CD for TurboCAD drafting software that is focused on model airplane design. Try out a FREE 9.5 MB video download here. The two CD set includes 2 hours and 50 minutes of narrated screen videos showing all the model airplane TurboCAD design software tips and techniques I have learned. I have used a variety of drafting software packages, to include ModelCAD, AutoCAD LT, QuickCAD and Drawing Board. TurboCAD drafting software is by far the easiest and most capable CAD program to use and learn, and is the drafting software for all of my RC model aircraft designs. Examples of RC airplanes designed and drawn with TurboCAD drafting software include the Electro Aviator, Yard Ace, Chickadee, and the Blackburn monoplane.

All CAD programs, to include TurboCAD drafting software, have a variety of features for the large group of potential design projects. However, features critical for someone preparing a home plan might not be needed for rendering of an electric pump. There are a number of key TurboCAD drafting software techniques that are very useful for RC model airplane design. By focusing on these model aircraft drafting software tips and shortcuts, the time required to be proficient and productive is greatly reduced.

Drafting software concepts that might be new, such as trim and snap, are highlighted with practical application to model airplane design. A good example is TurboCAD drafting software use of “full scale” drawing. Unlike with manual drafting, with TurboCAD you draw all parts at their full dimension. If an airplane spar is 20 inches long, you draw that spar with a length of 20 inches in the TurboCAD drawing space. This prevents all sorts of errors with scaling a drawing using the older manual drafting techniques. TurboCAD drafting software permits you to focus on capturing your visual ideas without worrying about background technical tasks. My training CD, when combined with TurboCAD drafting software’s intuitive design and user interface, will make learning how to draw an RC model an easy and enjoyable task.
